Just Good Feeling Hummus

Description

This popular appetizer will get you hooked onto hummus! Easy and fast, this recipe can be put together in a matter of minutes. Serve it with raw veggies and whole grain pita chips. You will need a high speed food processor for best results.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can ( 15oz) organic Chick Peas/Garbanzo beans, drained and rinsed thoroughly .
  • 1 can (15 oz) navy white bean, drained and rinsed thoroughly.
  • Juice of 1 large lemon
  • 2 or 3 medium cloves of garlic, chopped
  • 1 tsp celtic salt or salt to taste
  • 1/3 cup tahini paste
  • 2 tablespoons of water
  • few splashes of tabasco (optional)

Instructions

  1. Add the rinsed beans, chopped garlic, and the rest of the ingredients to a high speed food processor.
  2. Process until completely smooth and creamy, about 5 minutes running.
  3. Add tabasco to taste if desired.
  4. Spoon hummus into dish to serve with veggies or pita chips.
  5. Keeps in sealed container for 5 days.

Notes

  • Pro tip~ make sure you blend the hummus for a while, about 5 minutes to really get a nice smooth texture.
  • If you want more or less heat, add more or less tobasco. If you want more or less spice, add less garlic.
  • Make have to add few drops of water ( or olive oil) to get the consistency you want.
